Working Towards a Greener Bluegrass Festival
The success of our efforts to make the Festival green depends on everyone. With your great spirit of cooperation with can reduce waste. By preparing ahead of time, you can make a difference with regards to festival waste and energy consumption. Here are a few ideas:
• Bring reusable items such as water bottles.
• Carpool. Not only is it more gentle on the environment, it’s more fun too!
• Take your recycling home when you leave so that we can reduce the number of truck trips to carry the waste.
• Bring your own personal eating utensils and reusable napkins.
• If you’re staying in a hotel or condo, let them know that you don’t need to have your towels and sheets washed daily.
• Bring your own bag if you buy groceries.
• Please leave paper, plastic, metal and anything that can be recycled in the specially marked recycle bins on the grounds.
• Share your knowledge and ideas with Beavergrass Bluegrass Fetsival on survey cards at the information table or by emailing us at green@beavergrassfestival.org
